Pretty slim. It can be anywhere from 1 in 14,000,000 to 1 in 200,000,000.

Meaning that only one ticket out of 14 million or 200 million will win. If she is buying 10 tickets a week, it will take about 27,000 years to get 14 million tickets. So, your mother would have the odds of winning once in 27,000 years. Of course there are people who win, however, there are millions and millions of tickets that do not win.

Now, if she takes that $10 a week and saves it and invest it and lets say that she gets a 10% return on her money, after 20 years of this she will have about $30,000. Odds are, with the lottery she will have nothing.

The odds of begin hit by lightning are about one in 500,000 or so. The odds of being attacked by a shark are 1 in 8,000,000. The odds of finding a 4-leaf clover are about 1 in 10,000. The odds of dying from a bee sting are 1 in 100,000.

Lets say you place cigarettes side by side (not front to end) from the top of your country to the bottom, then have a crow fly the length and breath of your country and pick your cigarette, those are pretty much the odds of winning the lotto

    Good Luck

About the same as finding a sober Salvation Army Santa ringing a bell outside your local WalMart.
